Here’s How to Make Delicious Keto Sausage Balls with  Less Than 6 Ingredients

Coming up with delicious alternatives to the usual foods is part of the fun when it comes to being on the keto diet. Just think about the endless possibilities of snacks, appetizers, and dessert recipes that could be created from ingredients that fit the keto lifestyle.

One of our favorite go-to recipes is Keto sausage balls with less than 6 ingredients! We love these for many reasons, but here are our top three:

  • They require minimal ingredients and time to make.
  • You can customize them with different herbs and spices to make them more unique.
  • The combination of sausage, cheese, and almond flour creates such a delicious flavor that it’s hard not to eat it all at once!

What Exactly Is a  Sausage Ball?

Should you go to the grocery store and check out the pre-made sausage balls, you’ll find that they are traditionally made with pork sausage, cheese, and a few other ingredients like seasonings or vegetables.

They also have one important ingredient that gives them their signature flavor and texture, which is Bisquick or some other type of baking mix. Bisquick is usually a combination of flour, salt, baking powder and shortening.

Fortunately, on the keto diet you can still enjoy sausage balls without the Bisquick! All you need to do is substitute almond flour for the traditional wheat flour. Almond flour is high in healthy fats and low in carbs which makes it ideal for people following the keto diet.

Keto sausage balls are made from a combination of low-carb ingredients such as pork sausage, almond flour, coconut flour, egg, and cheese. Depending on the recipe, you may also find spices or herbs to add flavor.

Once all the ingredients have been combined in a bowl, the mixture is formed into little balls and then baked in the oven until golden brown. Served hot or cold, these keto sausage balls make a great snack or appetizer that can be enjoyed by everyone on a low-carb diet.

For an added touch of flavor, you can sprinkle them with Parmesan cheese or top them with a dollop of low-carb sauce.
