Elizabeth VonderHaar, MD, FACOG

Board certified Obstetrician Gynecologist

Dr VonderHaar is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist who is passionate about women’s health.  Recognizing that every patient needs are unique, she has developed an individualized focus on fitness and nutrition training for pregnancy and post partum.  She enjoys utilizing her knowledge to assists others in their journeys, including her own.  [She has had 2 healthy term pregnancies requiring individualized activity and nutrition modifications during pregnancy and beyond the fourth trimester].  In addition to her clinical training, Dr VonderHaar has received additional training in nutrition, breastfeeding support and exercise training in pregnancy, post partum and beyond.

Dr VonderHaar is a graduate of the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine.  She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she received the outstanding resident research career award.  Prior to launching her career in Alaska, she volunteered at a remote center in Haiti, implementing a cervical cancer screening program, which she continues to support.

In her free time, Dr VonderHaar enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and Labrador, CrossFit, running, hiking, and any excuse to go to the mountains.
