With its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties, it can make your skin elastic, smooth and rejuvenated. Consequently, repeated use of ginger wrap will not only rid you of unwanted flabs and bulges but will also give your skin a new lease on life.

Making a ginger wrap requires a fresh ginger root, body lotion (any kind you want), plastic wrap, elastic band (choose the right size, to avoid impeding blood circulation) and a towel. For the best result apply the wrap before going to bed. The wrap needs to be left on for about 8 hours.

1. Prepare your skin

First, you need to prepare your skin for the ginger wrap: soak the towel in a hot water (make sure that the temperature of the towel is endurable) and place it on your target area. This will open your pores and ensure better absorption of the ginger. Keep the towel on for 5 minutes.

2. Prepare the mixture

Grate the ginger root. Mix 1 tablespoon of grated ginger with 4-5 tablespoons of the body lotion. Depending on which area you are planning to cover, you may need to add more of both components.

3. Apply the mixture

After removing the towel apply the prepared mixture on your target area.

4. Wrap up

Using a plastic wrap, cover the area. To secure the wrap, use the elastic band, avoiding the impeding of blood circulation.

5. Let it do its job

Leave the ginger wrap on overnight, or at least for 2 hours.

You will notice the effect of the ginger wrap next morning. However, if you want the results to be significantly visible, include this procedure into your regular body care routine.
