After 6 months, women on paleo shed 2.5 times more weight (on average) than the control group, although both groups lost weight (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/24473459\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After two years, both groups gained back some of the lost weight, but the paleo group\u2019s average weight loss was 1.6 times higher.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another study in 2020 found that the paleo diet alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/betterme.world\/articles\/hiit-calories-burned\/\">HIIT<\/a> or standard exercise can shed excess pounds and decrease waist circumference.
