It is very similar to table sugar in terms of taste (around 70% as sweet), but it isn\u2019t metabolized by your body and used as fuel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There&#8217;s not much research on allulose and no long-term studies on humans. Most of the data we have comes from animal testing. However, it&#8217;s been established that this sweetener doesn&#8217;t affect blood sugar levels, so it is a good option for making low-carb desserts (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7919569\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Yacon_Syrup\"><\/span><strong>Yacon Syrup<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yacon syrup is derived from a fruit that grows in South America. Although it looks like a sweet potato, this is not the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Internally, yacon has an extremely high concentration of starch in the form of fructooligosaccharides (FOS), which is a sugar that the body cannot digest. This feature makes it an ideal choice for people who follow Keto diet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although it has FOS, yacon does not affect blood glucose levels or cause insulin spikes.
